Momma was always making ice tea. If the tea was running low a new pot was brewing.
The prize of a new round of tea was the foam that formed. To get that first glass and to drink it warm. Ohhh the simple pleasures.

Pork and beans had a prize in them too. That little piece of pork in the can. To dip in the serving spoon and land that little morsel. Oh the simple pleasures.
When Momma would use sweetened condensed milk and there was milk left in the can, there was a prize there. Pour in hot coffee and enjoy . Ohhh the simple pleasures.
Last night I made some tea. I had bought the gallon size tea bags by accident. So I would dilute what I wanted with hot water. What I found, was every cup I made had foam on it. I got the prize with every cup I had.
Grace is a lot like that foam. We can have it every time we ask for it. We don't abuse it, oh how blessed I am to know about His wonderful grace.
Ephesians 1:6 : To the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given in the one He loves.
You see we can call on our Father thru His son for all those little prizes of life. I believe He wants us to ask for little pleasures as much as we do for the "Big prizes". You can never get to far from the Father that you can't come back. You don't need to have your life perfect before you can come to Him.
Come in all your pain, hurt, addictions and fear. He is waiting for you just as you are right this minute, right now. He will take your pain and hurt and bring healing and joy. That addiction you are fighting with, give it over and He will turn it into a victory.
Lay down your fears and He will make you fierce.
Celebrate those little prizes daily.
Love,
Beth
